Context
Natural mineral water bottled at the foot of Mount Nimba, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the Guinea-Liberia border. Distributed in supermarkets, kiosks, and restaurants in Conakry. Objective: stand out against imported waters in a category where all labels look identical.
Challenge
The mineral water aisle is highly undifferentiated: marketing blue, droplets, snowy peaks — the same codes everywhere from Conakry to Abidjan. Nimba had a truly remarkable origin, a red ferrous laterite mountain, but no way to tell the story without it becoming a documentary. Production also prohibited on-site filming.
Approach
We made the paradox the brand itself: perfectly clear water born from a red mountain. Laterite red becomes the proprietary color — breaking away from generic shelf blue — and the ridge silhouette of Mount Nimba serves as both logotype and film setting. The product film is entirely motion design, with no actors: a water crown forms around the bottle in front of the red ridge, closed by the signature 'Born from the iron mountain.'
Results
A brand system built on a single chromatic contrast, applied from the logotype to the label. A 15-second 16:9 product film with French voiceover, reframeable to 9:16 for social media, with a packshot that serves as a key visual for display and point of sale.
