Context
Womenswear fashion house founded in Conakry, featuring couture ready-to-wear blending architectural cuts with West African textiles. Own atelier production, appointment-only sales, and growing social presence. Objective: establish a clear high-end positioning.
Challenge
The house was known via word-of-mouth for Conakry weddings, but its public image relied on phone photos and a rushed logo. The gap between piece quality and brand presentation hindered price negotiations: clients haggled as if at a neighborhood seamstress. The founder specifically rejected any 'decorative ethnic' imagery.
Approach
We built the identity of a 'House', not a shop: intertwined MC monogram in fine serif, a palette of deep black, off-white, champagne gold, and burgundy, and an editorial grid generous with negative space. The Harmattan campaign art direction treats textiles as couture material — studio lighting, tight framing, and no decorative folklore.
Results
A complete couture identity system: four logotype variations, color and typographic guidelines, Harmattan seasonal campaign across posters, editorial portraits, lookbook spreads, and urban displays, plus four Instagram templates for collections, featured pieces, and bookings.
